According to a statement made on UNRWA’s official social media account, there is a worrying situation regarding Palestinian refugees who were displaced as a result of Israel’s attacks on Gaza. It is emphasized that there is no safe place left in Gaza, and the people in the region continue to be displaced.

It is reported that 9 out of every 10 people in Gaza, which has a population of approximately 2.3 million, have been forcibly displaced. Refugees are trying to find shelter in overcrowded schools, collapsed buildings, makeshift tents and even areas with piles of garbage.

The majority of the people of Gaza have been displaced many times due to the ongoing Israeli attacks since October 7. These forced migrations negatively affect the civilian population, especially women and children, and make their struggle for survival even more difficult.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reports that there is no longer space to even pitch a tent in the Al-Mawasi region, where displaced Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have taken refugee.
