The Humanitarian Situation in Gaza and International Responses
In a recent statement by the General Directorate of Civil Defense, it was stated that Israeli forces rejected the request for coordination for the evacuation of the wounded as a result of the attacks on the Abu Hadrus family’s house. This situation leads to the deepening of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The statement stated that “countless calls to save Palestinian lives have been ignored.” It emphasized that international aid organizations must intervene urgently, especially in cases where there are wounded people like the Abu Hadrus family.
Gaza Civil Defense condemns the silence of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) on this issue. “Ignoring the cries of the injured details from the Abu Hadrus family will add them to the ranks of martyrs, like the thousands who lost their lives because our crews could not reach them,” the statement said.
In this context, the international community must take urgent action and take the necessary steps to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
