In his speech marking the 25th anniversary of his accession to the throne, Moroccan King Mohammed VI pledged to support constructive solutions to maintain the ceasefire in Gaza and improve humanitarian conditions.
Stating that a two-state solution with Jerusalem as the capital could provide stability and security in the region, the Moroccan King stressed that Gaza was an integral part of the independent Palestinian territory.
The King of Morocco announced that he was making efforts to deliver aid such as food and medicine to the Palestinians in his capacity as the “President of the Jerusalem Commission” in Rabat.
6. Mohammed said, “The deteriorating situation in the region shows that a permanent solution must be found to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. While ending the conflict in Gaza is an urgent priority, a political vision must be established to achieve a just and lasting “peace.”
The Moroccan King noted that peace negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis must be secured by curbing extremists on both sides.
