In the fire that occurred in Gökçeağaçsakızı village of Sinop’s Boyabat district, 2 and a half hectares of agricultural land and 1 haystack were damaged by the flames. The fire spread rapidly and damaged the trees in the surrounding area.
Following the incident, fire brigades, forest sprinklers and medical personnel were dispatched to the region. As a result of the intervention of the teams, the fire was taken under control and extinguished. However, it was determined that an area of 2 and a half hectares was damaged, including the trees on the land. A haystack was also reduced to ashes in the fire.
A detailed investigation has been launched into the incident and the investigation continues. Authorities are continuing their work to determine the cause of the fire and its possible effects.
