Two of the three people who dug without permission to search for treasure in Bilecik Söğüt district lost their lives in the hole they dug. The incident took place within the borders of Zamzemiye village. Upon notification to the 112 emergency call line, teams were dispatched to the scene.
As a result of the investigations, it was determined that there were people lying motionless in a dug pit. Gendarmerie, medical teams and AFAD arrived at the scene. As a result of the rescue efforts carried out using special equipment, the dead bodies of persons named SG (36 years old) and TB (38 years old) were found.
While the bodies of the individuals were transferred to Söğüt State Hospital, it was reported that the causes of death would be determined as a result of the autopsy.
