Antalya – The 19th International 40th National Abdal Musa Commemoration Events, held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, started enthusiastically in Tekke village of Elmalı. Within the scope of the three-day events, Abdal Musa Tomb was visited, whirling dervish dances were performed, poems were read and lovers’ bickering added color.
Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Durmuş Ali Arslan, Elmalı Mayor Halil Öztürk, Alevi Lodge representatives and many citizens attended the commemoration events held in Tekke village of Elmalı, the land of the saints.
On the first day of the program, Erdal Erzincan, the master of Turkish Folk Music, gave an unforgettable concert and gave the audience unforgettable moments. At the event held in the Amphitheatre, Grup Yarenler, Cemil Per-Doğukan Karasu, Özde Semah players, İbrahim Pala-Orhan Gürsoy, Nurtepe Cemevi Semah players and Konyaaltı Cemevi Choir also took the stage and offered an unforgettable experience to the participants.
As part of the commemoration activities, in addition to the tomb visits, traditional rituals were performed by reading the sayings and performing semahs. The events, in which Abdal Musa was remembered as an important figure of faith, highlighted the historical and cultural texture of Elmalı and gave the participants an unforgettable experience.
