The Accident Occurred in Oltu
The accident occurred at around 06:00 near Çamlıbel neighborhood in Oltu district. At around 02:00, the ambulance driven by Fatih Karadeniz (39), who was returning from Oltu to Erzurum after taking a patient, collided head-on with the light commercial vehicle with the registration number 16 Z 2975, driven by Feyzullah İyisoy ( 75).

The second nurse on duty in the ambulance, Netice Altınok (39), was also seriously injured in the accident. Altınok, who was seriously injured, was transferred to Erzurum by helicopter ambulance after the first aid at the scene.
Incident Reporting and Intervention
Following the incident, gendarmerie, traffic police, medical teams and firefighters were dispatched to the scene. The bodies of Feyzullah İyisoy and Nacihan İyisoy, who were trapped by the force of the collision, were removed as a result of the teams’ efforts.
The Bodies Were Taken to Oltu State Hospital Morgue
The bodies of those who lost their lives in the accident were taken to the Oltu State Hospital morgue. The medical teams were deeply saddened when they heard about the incident. An investigation was launched into the accident.
