Forest Fire Taken Under Control in KASTAMONU
The forest fire that broke out in Yalçınköy village of Çide district was taken under control as a result of the intensive efforts of the fire brigade. While the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, the scene was quickly intervened. Citizens who noticed the smoke immediately reported the situation to the fire brigade and gendarmerie units.
Fire trucks belonging to the Cide, Şenpazar and Doğanyurt municipalities were dispatched to the fire zone along with teams from the Regional Forestry Directorate. The teams were able to bring the fire under control after a difficult fight that lasted approximately 3 hours. Fire crews are currently continuing their fire extinguishing efforts.
