Yesterday’s children, who grew up in Yozgat Orphanage, and today’s adults come together at the annual meeting to keep their friendship bonds strong.
Event Details
The meeting, which was held for the 14th time this year, was organized by the Association of Those Leaving Homeland (YURT-AY). It was seen that young people participated with their families in the event organized under the name “Kite Festival”.
Entertainment and Activities
Within the scope of the event, competitions such as rope stretching, running with a sack, and carrying eggs were organized for children, while families spent time together by having picnics. Games were played accompanied by music and a colorful day was experienced.
Participation and Support
Yozgat Mayor Kazım Arslan also attended the event and emphasized unity and solidarity. He made an emotional speech to the participants and emphasized the importance of the event.
Hakan Çeliksoy, President of Yurt-Ay Association, stated that the event is part of a tradition that extends from past to present, and emphasized that the coming together of young people who stayed in Yozgat and those who left the dormitory refreshes memories.
