In the painful incident that took place in MUĞLA, Ergün Göçmen, who killed Gülgün Öztürk’s son-in-law Bahtiyar Öztürk by stabbing him 7 times and escaped, was caught by the police teams in the coal shed where he was hiding as a result of a 12-day pursuit.

The incident took place on June 14 in the center of Yatağan district. After an argument broke out between Gülgün Öztürk and her husband Bahtiyar Öztürk for an undetermined reason, Ergün Göçmen was informed. The immigrant went to his daughter’s house and the argument between him and his son-in-law quickly turned into a fight. The immigrant stabbed his son-in-law 7 times with the knife he had with him and ran away. Unfortunately, Bahtiyar Öztürk died when he was taken to hospital.

Following the incident, police teams started an operation to catch the escaped suspect Ergün Göçmen. As a result of a meticulous operation, Göçmen was caught hiding in the coal shed of his mother’s house. It was stated that Göçmen, whose procedures are currently ongoing at the police station, will be held accountable before justice.
