Recently, a startling call from her brother, Joseph Stampfl, shattered her resigned peace. A fellow American climber, Ryan Cooper, had located Joseph to deliver unbelievable news – a group of climbers had stumbled upon Bill Stampfl’s preserved body on the majestic Mount Huascarán, a 22,205-foot peak in the Andes range.
