The fire that broke out in the scrub area in Kula district of Manisa created a great danger and threatened the forest area and settlements. However, thanks to rapid and effective intervention, the fire was brought under control. An area of 5 decares of maquis was damaged in the fire.
The fire that occurred in Kula district worried the surrounding citizens. Citizens noticed the fire spreading rapidly due to the influence of the wind and immediately reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Kula Fire Department teams affiliated with Manisa Metropolitan Municipality quickly arrived at the scene and intervened in the fire.
Fire extinguishing efforts were supported by 1 first response vehicle and 2 intermediaries from the Kula Forest Management Directorate. As a result of the intensive efforts of the teams, which lasted about 2 hours, the fire was taken under control. However, 5 decares of maquis area was damaged. Currently, teams are continuing their cooling efforts in the region.
