According to initial findings, an area of ​​300 hectares and many houses were damaged in the intervention to the forest fire, which broke out in the Karasavcı and Yağbasan Neighborhoods of Dibek Mountain in the Salihli district of Manisa, at the 11th hour.

The fire started around 11.30 today. Along with teams affiliated with the Forest Management Directorate, fire crews affiliated with Manisa Metropolitan Municipality and support teams from surrounding provinces and districts, 5 aircraft, 4 helicopters, water tankers, water supply vehicles, work machines and dozens of personnel were dispatched to the scene .

The fire, which spread rapidly in the evening due to the strong wind, started with the precautionary evacuation of citizens in Karasavcı and Yağbasan neighborhoods. Security measures were taken by closing the entrances and exits to the neighborhoods.

While some houses were completely burned down due to the fire, cattle and sheep and agricultural lands were also damaged. Fire extinguishing efforts in the region were carried out by Salihli District Governor Mehmet Kamil Sağlam, Salihli Mayor Mazlum Nurlu, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Zafer Tombul, Manisa Provincial Disaster and Emergency Manager Osman Pıhtılı, District Gendarmerie Commander Captain Doğukan Karaaslan, Manisa Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Metin Öztürk and Kızılay. Officials also participated and gave their support.
