sanliurfa– In Şanlıurfa, where power outages are frequently experienced during the summer months, the Civil Society Organizations Platform reacted to DEDAŞ. The Platform stated that power outages in Urfa, the hottest province in Turkey, have become almost a form of oppression and demanded an urgent solution from DEDAŞ and politicians who remain indifferent to the outages.

Making a statement on behalf of the NGO Platform Vehbi Uzundağ, the Chairman of the Free Education Union Şanlıurfa Province, made the following statements: “For some reason, when the issue of power outages comes up, they suddenly become deaf and dumb. We want it to be known that we have no tolerance for this. When the government behaves like this, naturally DEDAŞ “officials do not accept the citizens as interlocutors and are concerned about the power outages that occur every day and have now become routine.” “We see.”

Uzundağ continued as follows: “As of the point we have reached, although the government remains indifferent to solving this problem, we all know that DEDAŞ is the primary interlocutor of this nation, as well as being the political power. Unfortunately, we have not seen the will to solve this problem beyond consoling the people in the ruling party until today. We hope that the necessary steps will be taken from now on and that it will save Şanlıurfa and the people of Şanlıurfa from this ordeal as soon as possible.”
