BATMAN – In Batman’s Sason district, citizens who went to the recreation area to cool off by escaping from the high temperatures were suddenly caught in the heavy rain. Citizens who wanted to spend the last day and weekend of the holiday by having a picnic with their families flocked to the natural recreation areas in Sason district. However, the weather changed unexpectedly and it started to rain. Due to the intensity of the rain, some picnickers cut short their picnics and returned home, while others tried to protect themselves from the rain by taking shelter under the trees.
Citizen Yakub Melik Parlak stated that they came from Bursa with his family to have a picnic in the historical Sevek Recreation area in Sason, but they were caught in the rain. Parlak said, “We came here to escape the hot weather of Batman, but now we are in the rain. Everyone is somehow under protection. We are trying to take shelter with blankets here.” he said he.
Safiye Akgül stated that they came to the picnic area because of the hot weather and had to cut their picnic short because of the sudden rain. Akgül said, “When it started to rain, we immediately packed up and decided to go back.”
Behçet Aku also stated that they had a difficult time due to the sudden rain while having a picnic and that they left their food and cushions and tried to protect themselves from the rain.
