Missing Person Rescued in Uluabat Lake
On July 12, Rizvan Kozan, who lives in the Şeyhmüftü Neighborhood of the Mustafakemalpaşa district, disappeared in Lake Uluabat in the Karacabey district, where he went to collect leeches. Gendarmerie teams took action after Kozan reported his disappearance among the reeds to his wife via mobile phone.
While gendarmerie teams began search and rescue operations in the area where Kozan was located, AFAD teams also supported the search activities that intensified in the Gölyazı Neighborhood. At 05:00 on the morning of July 13, an aerial search operation was launched with drones to find Kozan, whose engine was found on the lake shore.
Rizvan Kozan, who was spotted by drones among the reeds at 08:30, 18.5 hours after he went missing, was rescued by AFAD teams. In the statements made, it was stated that Kozan was in good health.
