(BURDUR) – The teams of the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry took an important step around Lake Salda, located in Yeşilova district of Burdur, within the scope of the “Project for the Restoration of Endangered Species to Their Former Habitats”. Within the scope of the project, 23 red deer brought from breeding stations in Bursa and Eskişehir were released into the forest areas of Salda Lake.

As part of this special project, one of the red deer released around Lake Salda was observed by a group of citizens who were walking. Citizens examined the red deer closely and loved it for a while. However, officials stated that these values grew up in a farm environment and could sometimes be aggressive. Therefore, citizens were warned not to approach deer and to stay away when they saw them.
