Meaningful March for Palestine from IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation

İHH İnsani Yardım Vakfı'ndan Filistin İçin Anlamlı Yürüyüş

Led by the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, a large march was held in memory of Ismail Haniyeh, who was assassinated in Iran, and those who lost their lives in Palestine. This meaningful march, which was held with the participation of tens of thousands of people, started in front of the Fatih Mosque after the evening prayer and continued to Beyazıt Square. Throughout the march, participants shouted slogans such as “Long Live the Global Intifada, Murderous Israel, Collaborator USA, Murderous Israel Get Out of Palestine” and shouted their support for Palestine.

The march began with a recitation from the Quran in Beyazıt Square. Afterwards, representatives of civil society organizations addressed the participants by giving speeches on the importance of the Palestinian issue.

Cihat Çelik: “We Must Close the Ranks Even Tighter Today”

IHH President Cihat Çelik said in his speech, “Today, we have to close ranks even more. We have to avoid division. We are at the beginning of a long struggle. “We can only carry out this struggle together by closing ranks.” Emphasizing the importance of unity, Çelik called for more effective solidarity for Palestine.

Ismail Songur: “Gaza People Wake Up to Martyrdom Every Morning”

Ismail Songur, Chairman of the Mavi Marmara Association, said, “While the events in Gaza are being watched, the people of Gaza wake up to martyrdom every morning,” and added that they will share with the public the developments regarding the Freedom Flotilla planned to five cents to Gaza. Drawing attention to the difficulties experienced by the Palestinian people, Songur emphasized that the international community should provide more effective support.

Mehmet Yaroğlu: “We Will Never Give Up the Fight”

AGD Istanbul Provincial Chairman Mehmet Yaroğlu relayed the phone conversation he had with Ismail Haniye’s son Abdusselam Haniye. Yaroğlu stated that during the conversation, Haniye’s last said, “My father’s blood is not more valuable than the blood of any Palestinian child. We are devastated, our eyes are filled with tears. However, we never give in to despair. “We will never, ever back down from the struggle.”

Muhammed Emin Yildirim: “Victory is Near”

Siyer Foundation Founder Muhammed Emin Yıldırım also addressed the participants and said, “If a cause has started sacrificing its best in the way of Allah, victory is near. We are people of faith, we have devoted ourselves to a cause and we will never leave the cause of Palestine, the cause of the Al-Aqsa Mosque behind until we become victims on this path. “We will fight all oppressors, all taghuts, all collaborators, and all acolytes until the end,” expressing his determination.

Palestinian Activist Talal Nasır, TÜGVA Istanbul Provincial Chairman Beytullah Çiçen, Gaza Solidarity Platform Spokesperson Necmettin Irmak and Yedi Crescent Association General Chairman Samet Paçacı also made speeches at the action, emphasizing the importance of unity for the freedom of Palestine.

This meaningful action, which called for participation in the marches to be held all over the world and in all 81 provinces of Turkey on Saturday, August 3, ended after prayers for the freedom of Palestine.
