Newly Introduced GPT-4o Model Faces Security Vulnerability!
The GPT-4o model, which stands out in the field of artificial intelligence, meets users with a special application for macOS. However, this application quickly came to the fore with a security vulnerability. The security vulnerability in the macOS version of ChatGPT actively caused problems for users between June 25 and June 28.
Open to Third Party Access!
It turned out that users’ conversations with the ChatGPT chatbot were accessible to third parties during this period. It is not yet clear how many users were affected by the vulnerability, and no detailed report has been published on the subject.
Precaution from Apple
Apple usually monitors apps published on the App Store to prevent security vulnerabilities. However, the ChatGPT app offered by OpenAI on its website did not pass this monitoring, which caused the vulnerability.
iOS 18 Integration
According to TechRadar, Apple is working with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT with iOS 18. With this integration, users will be able to use ChatGPT for free via Siri. iOS 18 is currently in beta testing and will be officially available to users in September.
iPhone users can try out iOS 18 by going to the Software Update section of the Settings app, tapping “Beta Updates” and selecting “Developer Beta.”
