Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu inspected the construction work of the Yunus Emre Mosque in Gesi Neighborhood in cooperation with philanthropists. Mayor Palancıoğlu stated that they continue their services in line with the needs of the citizens and that the construction of the mosque is progressing rapidly.
“There was a need for a mosque in our Gesi Neighborhood, especially near the cemetery. We are building this mosque for funeral prayers, burial procedures and five daily prayers. We would like to thank our philanthropists Celal Poyraz, Sinan Poyraz and the Poyraz family “We created a beautiful mosque with the support of our philanthropists under the name of Yunus Emre Mosque.” “We are creating a place of worship. Hopefully, we will open the mosque at the end of the summer, adding value to the region with its fountain, garden and teacher’s house.”
Philanthropist Celal Poyraz also thanked Mayor Palancıoğlu for his support in the construction of the mosque and wished that the project would be beneficial.
