The Handicraft Course organized by Melikgazi Municipality within the scope of MELMEK attracts great attention among female trainees. The course given at Necip Fazıl Kısakürek and Fedakar Gülderen Social Facilities not only provides dexterity but also increases social interaction and enables new friendships to be established.
Various Craft Applications
Within the scope of the course, various handicraft practices are carried out using materials such as wire, rope, pulley, fishing line, wood, waste paper and beads. Different skills such as basket weaving, hazeran weaving, pearl bag making, copper relief works and punch needle technique are learned by trainees.

Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, in his statement about the handicraft courses, stated that they not only improve the handicraft skills of the trainees, but also help them become professional.
