In the incident that occurred on İki Eylül Street in Arifiye Neighborhood of Odunpazarı district, a giant branch of a tree fell on the tramway due to the strong wind. As a result of the incident, tram and vehicle traffic came to a standstill. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, and citizens experienced great panic. Considering the size of the branch, it was clear that the disaster was narrowly avoided. Police teams put up tape on both sides of the road and closed the point in question to traffic.
With the rapid intervention of municipal teams, the branch was removed. After the broken piece was removed, the tree was pruned. However, it was reported that tram services would be disrupted for approximately 2 hours due to the power outage.

A citizen who witnessed the incident said, “When we saw the incident, we realized that the trams were not working. Later, we saw that the giant branch of the tree had fallen on the electricity pole due to the effect of the extreme wind. The incident was taken care of by the rapid intervention of the municipality teams. The teams are currently continuing their work and we believe that normalcy will return as soon as possible.
