Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara Netanyahu at his home in Florida. The meeting was closed to the press and discussed the Middle East and US-Israel relations.

Netanyahu stated that they were hopeful about whether a ceasefire in Gaza was imminent, saying, “We would like to see it happen and we are working on it.” He also stated that he expected an Israeli delegation to join the negotiations to be held in Rome at the beginning of the week.
