5 Hour Challenge
The fire in the region was brought under control after approximately 5 hours of intensive work. The fire damaged forest areas as well as cultivated agricultural lands. In addition, the warehouse of the vineyard house belonging to a citizen named Celal Aydoğmuş, as well as the tractor and agricultural equipment inside, were burned and rendered unusable.
Regional Reviews
Salihli District Governor Ali Güldoğan, Salihli Mayor Mazlum Nurlu and District Gendarmerie Commander Captain Doğukan Karaaslan came to the area to inspect the fire area. The authorities received information about the fire extinguishing efforts and made the necessary assessments.
Farmers Also Supported
Since the fire affected a wide area, farmers in the region also mobilized to participate in the firefighting efforts. Farmers came to the fire area with water tankers and contributed to the extinguishing of the fire together with the fire department and forest management teams.
