It is a virgin nature, a rich nature, and the local people are very hospitable, we thank them too.”

Ahmet Kılıç stated that Karagöl Mountains are 2 hours away from Giresun city center and said, “There are very few areas where you can do so many activities 2 hours away from the city. I think those who know its value should take advantage of it.”

“Technical courses are important for trail runners like us”

KoşuyORDU Sports Club Captain Tan Aşkan stated that he had come to the region for the first time and underlined that the Karagöl Mountains were a blessing for trail runners due to their high altitude.

Aşkan said:

“Of course, when we think about it from a sports perspective, it is beneficial for us. There are various courses in trail running, sometimes stabilized, dirt and technical courses, technical courses are important for trail runners like us, and there are not many in the Black Sea region anyway, there are usually such courses in Central Anatolia and Eastern Anatolia. Karagöl is also very good in this sense.”
