Details About the Incident
In the incident that took place in the Çavuşlu Neighborhood of Midyat on June 22, a person named Veysi Bora had an argument with his mother Atiye Bora and his wife Necla Bora. As a result of the escalating argument, Veysi Bora tried to harm the people inside by setting their house on fire. While Necla Bora escaped the flames by jumping from the balcony, her mother Atiye Bora was removed from the house with the help of the gendarmerie teams. The injured were taken to Midyat State Hospital for treatment.
Atiye Bora’s condition was serious and she was referred to Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital. Necla Bora is receiving treatment at the hospital with fractures.
Apprehension of the Suspect
After the incident, Veysi Bora escaped and went to Istanbul where he was caught by the gendarmerie. Bora was caught on June 28 as a result of an operation carried out by the gendarmerie teams and was arrested by the court to which he was brought.
Latest Situation
Atiye Bora unfortunately passed away in the hospital where she was receiving treatment. Every funeral will be held in Adana.
