Covid-19 Situation in the USA
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has announced that virus levels are “high” or “very high” in 26 states in the western, southern and central United States, according to data from wastewater. It also noted that there has been an increase in diagnoses and positive tests in emergency rooms, but this increase is still low compared to the winter months. Covid-19 is now considered a respiratory virus managed through routine vaccination campaigns, rather than a public health emergency in the United States.
Biden’s Status
The White House announced that President Biden tested positive for COVID-19 after attending an event in Las Vegas and will be isolating at his home in Delaware. The statement today said Biden continues to have “mild upper respiratory symptoms,” does not have a fever, and other measurements are normal. The president continues to work from home.
