According to the statement made by the Presidency, on the 8th anniversary of the coup attempt of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) on July 15, 2016, a “July 15 Martyrs’ Commemoration and Mawlid Program” was held before the midday prayer in large mosques in city centers and mosques in martyrs’ cemeteries. President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş attended the program at Ankara Beştepe Millet Mosque. In the program, the Quran was recited, a Mawlid was read, and the Presidency of Religious Affairs Sufi Music Choir sang hymns.

Erbaş, who made the prayers for the hatims read for the martyrs, wished that the jihads of the martyrs be accepted and that the veterans be granted a blessed long life and recovery. Wishing that the unity and solidarity of the nation would be permanent, Erbaş made the following statements: “Oh my Lord, do not give a chance to the internal and external traitors who have set their eyes on our state and nation. Make all the traps, tricks and intrigues they have set for us fail for themselves. Do not give a chance to “The separatists who are trying to divide our homeland, make our glorious army, the hearth of the prophet, who is struggling against them, prosperous and victorious on land, in the air, at sea, always and everywhere.”
