Özel drew attention to the housing problem experienced after the earthquake in Malatya and emphasized that “While it was said that 103 thousand houses would be built in Malatya, it was a great uncertainty and injustice that only 7 thousand 881 houses were given.” He also mentioned that rent aid was given to earthquake victims for the last time this month and said, “I will start Turkey’s biggest resistance regarding rent aid.”

Özgür Özel:“We said extend the rental assistance provided to earthquake victims, but they say ‘We cannot find money’. If they deprive millions of people of rental assistance, I will start the biggest resistance.”

Economic Situation and Tax Policies

Ekonomik Durum ve Vergi Politikaları

Özel also made statements on economic issues and stated that, as a party, they advocate a tax system in which the rich will pay high taxes, those who earn little will pay less, and those who earn nothing will not pay any taxes. He also stated that the deputy chairman in charge of the economy will go to Mehmet Şimşek on Monday and show them where they can find the money.

Özgür Özel:“We know the truth. We are not in a position to approach them to correct their mistakes. We defend a system where the rich will pay high taxes, those who earn little will pay less, and those who earn nothing will pay no taxes. “

Providing solution suggestions regarding forest fires, Özel stated that they would work to establish a commission in the Parliament and that the Grand National Assembly of Turkey should take action against forest fires.

Özgür Özel:“We will work to establish a commission in the Parliament on forest fires. This issue must now be taken up by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The representatives of this nation will say stop to forest fires.”
