MHP Princes and Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Council Member Mehmet Güzgülü died at the age of 69 in the hospital where he was treated. A funeral prayer was performed for Güzgülü at Hatuniye Mosque and he was buried with prayers. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel also attended the funeral prayer. In addition, Deputy Governor of Manisa Aydın Memük, former minister Rıza Akçalı, CHP and AK Party deputies, political party representatives and citizens also attended the ceremony.
Career of Mehmet Güzgülü
Known as an educator, Mehmet Güzgülü served as a council member in Manisa Municipality and Manisa Metropolitan Municipality for more than 30 years. At the same time, he took on important duties such as Deputy Mayor of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality and President of Manisa BBSK. Güzgülü, who was elected as Şehzadeler Municipality Council Member from MHP in the 31 March Local Administrative Elections, was an important name in Manisa politics.
