Bombing Allegations in Sudan
Speaking to the Sudan Tribune news site, Ministry of Health official Ibrahim Hater shared important information about the bombardments carried out by the Khıdır Resistance Committee (HDK). Hater reported that the HDK targeted the Abu Shok Refugee Camp, which hosts approximately 400,000 displaced people, with heavy artillery fire.
Hater stated that 25 people lost their lives and 40 people were injured in this bombardment. This situation once again revealed the extent of the humanitarian crisis in the region.
The Fashir Resistance Committee’s statement emphasized that the HDK continues its attacks on markets, hospitals and civilian homes in Fashir. The statement also stated that the HDK’s artillery bombardments of the Abu Shok Refugee Camp are making the living conditions of the displacement even more difficult.
These events show that the conflict and humanitarian crisis in Sudan is deepening and that the international community must intervene urgently to prevent the situation in the country from worsening further.
