Dear stakeholders, as a result of a sad accident that occurred on Lake Beyşehir in Beyşehir district of Konya, 4 people were affected as a result of a boat capsizing. In the incident, while 3 people were rescued, unfortunately 1 person died.
The incident happened the other day by a group of 4 people who were going from Aygır Island to Kuşluca District. Following the notification made to the 112 Emergency Call Center at night as a result of the boat capsizing, the gendarmerie, AFAD, Underwater Group Chief of the Protection Branch of the Provincial Police Department and Konya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department teams took immediate action.
As a result of the comprehensive search and rescue operation, 3 people were rescued safely, and efforts continued to find Yakup Kılıç, who was reported missing. Unfortunately, as a result of the search efforts, the lifeless body of Yakup Kılıç was found.
Our authorities, who have carefully examined all the details regarding the incident, are continuing the investigation process. May God have mercy on Yakup Kılıç, who lost his life as a result of this sad accident, and we express our condolences to his family and loved ones.
