Blueberry Production Expansion Project
Within the scope of the “Blueberry Production Expansion Project”, 15 thousand blueberry saplings were planted on 8 decares of idle land in the Arpadere village of Pazaryeri district of Bilecik 3 years ago with a 50 percent grant support. Following the planting carried out on an 8 decare area for trial purposes within the scope of the project, the ‘Blueberry’ yielded its first harvest.
Farmer Mehmet Demir, who planted the blueberry saplings, experienced the happiness of making his first harvest. The blueberry blueberries collected with devotion in the Pazaryeri district are offered for sale in markets in Istanbul, Trabzon and Ankara.
Support for Agricultural Production in the Village is Increasing
With the support provided to increase agricultural production throughout the village, an average of 10 tons of blueberry harvest is expected each year. Thanks to these supports, the village economy will contribute to and the income level of farmers will also increase.
