Istanbul Beşiktaş Municipality extended a helping hand to the region after the fire that occurred between Diyarbakır’s Çınar district and Mardin’s Mazıdağı district. In the fire that started on the night of June 20, 15 people lost their lives and dozens were injured. Beşiktaş Municipality supported the rescue and treatment of injured animals by sending Mobivet Animal Ambulances to the fire area.
556 small cattle perished in the fire, 250 injured animals were sent to slaughter, and 120 animals were treated by veterinarians in the region. 8 thousand 100 decares of land in Diyarbakır and 7 thousand decares of land in Mardin were damaged. A total of 5 thousand 450 decares of cultivated land was damaged in the fire.
While the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry teams continue their work, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Münir Karaloğlu stated that 3 million lira resources were transferred to Diyarbakır Governorship and 2 million lira to Mardin Governorship.
Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat municipality directed teams to the area immediately after the fire news. Mobivet teams intervened and provided treatment and care services to the injured animals.
