The ax attack on the Atatürk Monument located in Cumhuriyet Square in the central Kocasinan district of Kayseri caused great outrage. The incident took place around 11.30 am, and upon the notice of eyewitnesses, police teams quickly arrived at the scene.
Damages Detected in the Monument
As a result of the attack on the Atatürk Monument, 13 ax blows were detected. With the intervention of the Metropolitan Municipality police teams, the attackers were neutralized in a short time and taken into custody by the police teams.
