Dilan Polat, social media phenomenon and owner of a beauty center chain with branches in various regions of Turkey, has been detained since November 5 on charges such as money laundering, illegal betting, tax evasion and establishing a criminal organization.
Request for Release from the Prosecutor’s Office and its Reasons
The reason why the prosecutor’s office requested release for the first time within the scope of the investigation against Dilan Polat is the psychological problems and suicide risk detected in Polat’s examination by Forensic Medicine. The Forensic Medicine report stated that Polat should be treated in a high security health institution and returned to prison. However, the judge rejected the prosecutor’s request for release due to the possibility of obscuring evidence and missing documents.
