Amasra experienced a remarkable density, hosting 80 times more tourists than its population during the 8-day Eid al-Adha holiday. In the district, where all accommodation areas such as hotels, hostels and summer houses have reached a 100 percent occupancy rate, the number of tourists hosted, including day trippers, has exceeded 500 thousand people.
Places to Visit and Point of Interest: Kemere Bridge
Among the places that attract the most attention from tourists in Amasra is the Kemere Bridge, Turkey’s shortest bridge over the sea. This bridge has become the symbol of Amasra, which brings together historical and natural beauties. In addition, Amasra Castle, Bzotepe Island and Ağlayan Ağaç region, dating back to the Roman period, continue to be the center of attention for tourists.
Amasra attracts the attention of holidaymakers with its untouched bays, historical places, beauties integrated with nature and fish-based culinary culture. In addition, it hosts thousands of tourists from the Aegean, Marmara, Mediterranean and Black Sea regions and welcomes visitors from different geographies.
Amasra Mayor Recai Çakır stated that they exceeded the expected 500 thousand tourists during the Eid al-Adha holiday and emphasized the tourism potential of the district and stated that they prioritize the satisfaction of the guests.
