Air Operation Description
In the latest statement made by the Ministry, it was reported that action was taken to prevent terrorist attacks against the public and security forces in the north of Iraq in order to neutralize PKK/KCK and other terrorist elements. In this context, in line with the right of self-defense arising from Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, an air operation was carried out against terrorist targets in the Metina, Zap, Gara, Hakurk, Kandil and Asos regions in the north of Iraq.
It was informed that a total of 20 targets, consisting of caves, bunkers, shelters, warehouses and other terrorist facilities used by the separatist terrorist organization and including responsible terrorists, were destroyed in the air operation.
