With the end of the Eid al-Adha holiday, holidaymakers set out to return home from the holiday resorts, rested and enjoyable. However, the rush to return, which started with the end of the holiday, caused long vehicle queues and heavy traffic congestion on the roads.
Muğla Provincial Police Department Traffic Registration and Inspection Branch teams increased their inspections in order to control the density. Especially at the Regional Traffic Junction where Antalya, Denizli and Izmir regions intersect, teams work meticulously to regulate the flow of traffic and prevent accidents.
Holidaymakers coming from Marmaris direction formed a queue of approximately 10 kilometers at the Regional Traffic Junction. Traffic teams continue their work on a 24-hour basis to control this congestion and ensure that citizens travel safely.
Authorities warned citizens to be careful and comply with traffic rules on the return journey and emphasized that all necessary measures were taken to minimize congestion and prevent accidents.
