The fire, which broke out near Türkmenli village in Çanakkale’s Bayramiç district, started in agricultural land and quickly spread to the forest area under the influence of the wind. As a result of the rapid and effective intervention of the Regional Directorate of Forestry teams, the fire was taken under control. A large number of teams were dispatched to the fire, which started around 23:00, and the fire was prevented from spreading and was taken under control at 00:45.
In order to prevent damage to a wide area as a result of the fire, the teams intervened in a short time with the intense efforts of the fire and prevented the fire from growing. Cooling efforts are currently continuing in the region.
