Return Traffic on the Anatolian Highway
There is a congestion in the Bolu and Düzce sections of the Anatolian Highway on the return journey of holidaymakers who spent the Eid al-Adha holiday outside Istanbul. There is activity in the region due to drivers returning to their hometowns or holiday resorts after the holiday.
- In the Bolu section of the highway, traffic is flowing at the Gerede, Yeniçağa and Köroğlu ramps in the direction of Istanbul and at the Caydurt, Bolu-Batı, Yumrukaya and Bolu Mountain Tunnel locations.
- In the direction of Ankara, traffic continues in its normal course.
- There is also heavy traffic in the Gerede-Karabük section of the D-100 highway.
Vehicle Density in Duzce Section
In the Düzce section of the highway, in the direction of Istanbul, in the Büyük Melen Bridge location, the vehicle density increased due to a truck breaking down. Due to the truck malfunction, long vehicle queues were formed and necessary precautions were taken by the authorities.
There is also vehicle density on the Tekirdağ-Istanbul highway due to return traffic. Drivers are warned not to speed excessively. Relevant teams continue their work to keep the road open to transportation.
