Important Statements from Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that an important memorandum of understanding was signed with Iraq. This statement was made at a joint press conference held in Ankara with Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein.
Minister Fidan emphasized that the memorandum of understanding signed between Turkey and Iraq to strengthen military and security cooperation on the fight against terrorism was a historic step. He also stated that a Joint Security Coordination Center in Baghdad and a Joint Training and Cooperation Center in Bashiqa will be established between Turkey and Iraq to combat terrorism.
