Six people were injured in the accident and immediately taken to hospital. Investigations following the incident revealed that the column on the side of the building hit by the bus was severely damaged. This necessitated the evacuation of the building as a precaution for the safety of the residents. Electricity, water and natural gas services were also cut off for safety reasons.

Following the incident, 4 steel support columns were placed in the barber shop at the entrance of the building. The IETT bus was carefully removed from the area with the help of a crane.
