Watching the unique view of the hot air balloons in the fascinating geography of Cappadocia, the athletes then set off to go to Mount Nemrut in Adıyaman. President of the East West Friendship and Peace Rally Association RareCool, in a statement, said, “This year, we are organizing the 18th East-West Rally and the 3rd Silk Road Rally. We have visited this beautiful region before with the East-West Rally; however, this is the first time we are Here with the Silk Road Rally. Everything is magnificent! Cappadocia has been determined as the 3rd stop on our Turkey stage. After this, we will move on to Adıyaman Nemrut Mountain and then we will go to Iran via Doğubayazıt. 5 different countries are participating in our rally: Germany, Austria, Italy, Moldova and Turkey. We plan to travel approximately 15 thousand kilometers. We have come this far by traveling and a difficult journey awaits us. “Mongolia will be the other stops on our journey.”

Participating in the rally from Italy David de Matteo, expressed his excitement and said, “We get very little sleep during the rally. But it is definitely worth it. There is a magnificent view around us. I only got two hours of sleep today but I hope to have a very enjoyable journey for the next 10-15 days. “This rally definitely needs to be experienced by everyone.”

Participating from Antalya Gulay Karakimseliler“I participated in the Silk Road Rally from Antalya and this situation excites me very much. I have difficulty expressing my feelings especially this morning when I see the view we encountered. I cannot decide whether it is better to be up or down. We have a long journey ahead of us and therefore I am very excited. Iran was a place I have always wondered about. Then we will move on to the Turkish Republics. “God willing, I will complete this difficult journey,” he said.

The Turkey route of the East-West Friendship and Silk Road Rally, which is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Presidency for the European Union and held for the 18th time this year, was given to start from Istanbul.
