The Butterfly Valley, located in the Ölüdeniz Neighborhood of the Fethiye district of Muğla and known worldwide, hosts thousands of visitors every year. Citizens who want to watch this magnificent natural area from the Faralya Neighborhood try to take photos by climbing the steep cliffs.
However, some visitors who climb the cliffs to see the Butterfly Valley from the summit occasionally suffer injuries and tragic accidents. This not only endangers the safety of visitors but also causes this unique beauty offered by nature to be remembered with a bad image.
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality took action to ensure that the unique view of Butterfly Valley can be viewed more safely. Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras , made a statement on social media, “We are starting a new project to ensure that the magnificent view of the Butterfly Valley is watched safely. I have given the necessary instructions to build a safe viewing terrace in the area where the rocks are located in order to minimize the sad accidents that occur every year. “We aim to provide a more enjoyable visit for everyone by protecting nature and prioritizing safety.”
This new observation deck project will allow both local and foreign visitors to experience this natural beauty safely. Thus, visitors will be able to find both peace and security while watching the unique view of Butterfly Valley.
