Fire Incident
The fire broke out in a three-story building on Güvercin Street in Cihangir Neighborhood at around 22:00. Citizens who saw flames rising from the electrical panel on the ground floor of this building, where different companies operate, immediately reported the situation to the fire department, police and health teams.
Upon notification, many fire crews from various districts of Istanbul were dispatched to the scene. In the meantime, the fire spread to the furniture and bed manufacturing shop on the upper floor and grew even larger.
Fire Taken Under Control
Fire crews arrived at the scene and tried to prevent the flames from spreading further by intervening in the fire from all four sides. During this process, police teams took extensive security measures in the area, while health teams were also seen waiting at the scene.
After an intensive effort lasting approximately eight hours, firefighters were able to bring the fire under control. Fortunately, there were no injuries or loss of life as a result of the fire; However, there was extensive material damage to the businesses in the building. A comprehensive investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire.
