The Ministry of Treasury and Finance decided to tighten its inspections in order to inspect businesses operating intensively in tourist resorts during the summer period. Within the scope of these inspections, Revenue Administration teams will carry out inspections, especially in popular destinations such as Antalya, Muğla and Izmir, with the start of the tourism season.
Fighting the Informal Economy
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek emphasized the importance of combating the unregistered economy and stated that the inspections will also cover activities in this field. Minister Şimşek said, “Necessary actions will be taken according to the results obtained. Our fight against the unregistered economy will continue determinedly and strongly.” he said he
Additional inspection personnel were sent to tourism regions such as Antalya, Izmir and Muğla for inspections. In this context, various businesses such as nightlife venues, yacht tourism, beach clubs, hotels and hostels will be subject to field inspections. Additionally, restaurants and businesses located on busy streets will also be within the scope of inspections.

- Inspections on daily housing rentals will increase.
- Daily housing rental analyzes will be made for 2023.
Revenue Administration teams will continue their work in the field of daily housing rentals. In this context, taxpayers who have permission from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and have potential rentable housing will be examined in detail and the necessary compliance will be ensured.
