German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated that they have not decided to stop supplying weapons to Israel, despite the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which emphasized that the occupation of Palestinian territories by the occupying state is unlawful and must be ended immediately .
Olaf Scholz held a press conference in Berlin on domestic and international developments before the summer vacation. Scholz said, “We have supplied weapons to Israel and we have not decided to stop this. But of course we decide on a case-by-case basis.”
Asked whether this meant Israel could expect to continue to buy weapons from Germany, Scholz said: “We don’t always have everything people want from us. We didn’t decide not to supply weapons. That’s why we did (supply) and we will continue (supply).”
Regarding the demand that Germany refrain from trading in goods produced in the West Bank, he said: “A government under my leadership will not support a boycott of goods, services and products coming from Israel. Frankly, I find such demands disgusting.”
“The ICJ Report Did Not Change Our Assessment”
Scholz, who drew attention to the fact that they have said very clearly that Israel must abide by the criteria of international law and continue to do so, continued as follows: “We have said very clearly that we do not accept settler violence in the West Bank and we have condemned it together with many of our European friends and, for example, the United States, and we have also imposed sanctions on certain individuals, such as the European Union. That is why we have always said that as a perspective for. “A two-state solution, there must also be a perspective for peaceful coexistence between Israel and the state of Palestine. And we continue to follow exactly that line.”
Stating that he will be a candidate again in the German elections, Scholz emphasized that they need to work hard to become chancellor again.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz said he believes US Vice President Kamala Harris could win the November presidential election. “I think it’s very possible that Kamala Harris will win the election, but that will be up to the American voters to decide,” Scholz said.
When asked whether he had been in contact with US presidential candidate Donald Trump after the assassination, Scholz avoided giving a full answer and said, “As head of government, I am in direct contact with governments.”
Referring to the shortage of qualified labor in the country, Scholz said that Germany needs people from other countries who are well-adapted, can do something and are hard-working.
