According to the statement made by the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) the other day, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake occurred with its epicenter in Aladağ.
Adana and Cyprus Warning from Prof. Dr. Naci Görür
One of Turkey’s leading earthquake experts, Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made warnings about the earthquake in Adana on his social media account. Görür said, “Friends, there was a 4.2 magnitude earthquake in Kup-Aladağ/Adana. The earthquake occurred in the Yakapınar-Göksun Fault Zone region.”
Prof. Dr. Naci Görür had previously stated that caution should be exercised in Adana and Cyprus. The expert said, “These warnings are based on stress transfer in the region. The fault lines around Malatya also pose a risk. It is important for the authorities and the public to be careful.”
