The LED screen vehicles set off from Piccadilly, one of the city’s most famous squares, and toured historical and touristic areas of the city, including Oxford Street, Trafalgar Square, the British Parliament, Tower Bridge and Hyde Park. The vehicles bore the words “Victory of Democracy” and “Heroes of the Turkish Century” and the award-winning photograph taken on the July 15 Martyrs’ Bridge.
“Turkey’s Democracy Victory” panel to be held on July 15
A panel titled “Turkey’s Democracy Victory” will be held in London as part of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. The panel will be held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre across the British Parliament and will feature opening speeches from the Director of Communications at the Presidency Fahrettin Altun, Member of the House of Lords Qurban Hussain, Turkey’s Ambassador to London Osman Koray Ertaş and the President of the British Turkish Union Murat Sukru Acar.
The panel, moderated by Büşra Aktuna, Communications Counselor at the Turkish Embassy in London, will feature speeches from 15 July veteran Tayyip Ayvalıoğlu, actor Sinan Albayrak, Turkish-German University Department of Political Science and International Relations Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Enes Bayraklı, and lawyer and Manchester City Council Member Jawad Amin.
The panel will be held on July 15 at 18:00 local time.
